My name is Evangeline Remon. I’m a Registered Nurse-Midwife here in the Philippines. I’ve worked as a Community Health Nurse for almost 5 years, under the Nurse Deployment Program of the Department of Health, as a staff nurse for 6 months in the hospital, and recently worked as a Healthcare Virtual Assistant.
During my workdays with the Department of Health, I helped the people in the community with easy access to their healthcare needs. I also do house-to-house visits to far-flung areas and do check-ups on pregnant women, malnourished children, and senior citizens.
As a Healthcare Virtual Assistant, I helped the team or office staff by answering phone calls for appointment scheduling, to follow up on laboratory and radiology results, and to relay inquiries from patients on prior authorization and insurance verification.
